MAP CLAIM GUIDELINES

Welcome to our map. For now, we are using the map of Europe as our template. Feel free to create claims on our map. Anyone can do it! But, you have to follow some simple, but important, guidelines. Here are the rules of map-claiming in Octobris.

• You map claim can be no larger than the size of Belarus. Try to imagine Belarus in comparison with the rest of Octobris/Europe. It should be at the most that big. If you need clarification on how big that really is, a picture is shown below:

• In order to create your claim, choose a spot on the map, and use Microsoft Paint (or if you have a Mac, the app Paintbrush will do the job) to outline your border for your nation. Remember the size limit when doing this. I will provide a map claim "example" if you don't know what to do:

• Provide a capital while making your claim. You can symbolize the capital as a red dot, and then provide the name, either on the map or in your claim post. Here's an example:

• Your claim should be inside these provincial boundaries. This is what divides Octobris, but we are all one (remember that ) Try not to let your claim slip into other provinces, as it makes it confusing to which province you are in. Here is a map of the provinces below:

• And last but certainly not least, create your map claim post! Your claim post should go along the lines of this:

2. I apologize, but that is WAY too big. I have added a map of the 9 provinces below. Try to make it in one province only, thus, making your nation much easier to spot on the map. Try shrinking your claim in half or to one quarter of your wanted claim. Who knows how many nations would come here!

See, your claim expands both in the Baltic Lands AND Carpathius, thus making it impossible to decide which province of Octobris you will be representing. Try to also apply for citizenship, as that is required for being a member of Senate.

My friend, compare the size of Carpathius to my own region. Try to make your claim smaller than my nation, but yes, you have permission to claim in Carpathius, no problem.

We do have expansions. Thanks for reminding me! I will state the rules of expansion in this thread later.

About your claim...your claim extends into two provinces. You can only have your nation in one province. Yours is in both Brittania and Aquilonus. You have many choices here, however:

1. Keep your claim in the Icelandic area. The size is fine on all of your claims.
2. Keep your claim in Ireland.
3. Keep your claim in Britain.

You cannot have Ireland and Britain, as there needs to be at least two nations in one province, in order to the Senatorial System to work.

Your claim is an acceptable size however!
